Expertise: our pedagogical methods

The association is composed of a team of 8 experienced trainers, each one specialized in different fields (intercultural learning, language learning, social inclusion, human rights…).  The team – international and intercultural – works with groups of young people and in a wide variety of contexts (middle schools, high schools, social centers, social support structures, etc.). 

Our trainers are based on pedagogical practices from non-formal education or active pedagogy. Non-formal education is based on a horizontal relationship between the trainer and the trainees, collective decision making, peer sharing and the valuing of learning and competences acquired in informal contexts.

Each training course begins systematically with a method that allows to evaluate the participants’ expectations in terms of the acquisition of competences, know-how and soft skills. We use active pedagogical methods that encourage each participant to express his·her feelings freely, without fear of judgment, neither from other participants nor from the training team. These methods also allow the training team to take the group’s remarks into consideration and to readjust and modulate the program if necessary.

During the final evaluation, the team of trainers provides feedback on the expectations stated at the beginning of the training. Each participant can then evaluate whether or not his or her expectations were met.

Self-evaluation is our spearhead. We consider it is crucial for our participants to evaluate for themselves the competences they have acquired during the training. Of course, support is offered to people who have difficulties in self-evaluating themselves.
