Event 1

Participation: The event involved 79 citizens, including 1 participant from the city of Kalamata, Greece, 1 participant from the city of Razlog, Bulgaria, 1participant from the city of Slavonski Brod, Croatia, 1 participant from the city of Bologna, Italy and 1 participant from the city of Rezekne, Latvia  

Location / Dates: The event took place in Marseilles, France, from  06/02/201508/02/2015

Short description:  The aim of the event was for the partners in this project to meet together with representatives from local authorities and CSOs, and to define the objectives of and the strategies for the implementations of the activities, and the process to be followed throughout the project. During the event, the partners drew up a clear strategy that would ensure the quality implementation of the project, created our communication, and dissemination plans, divided the tasks between the partners and defined the main topics for continuation of the project. A session was also held in the Marseilles Europe Direct offices, with the participation of local citizens of diverse origin, to present the idea of the A.L.T.I.U.S. project and investigate their views on European issues and identity and hold the first Debate of the project.

Event 2

Participation: The event involved 157 citizens, including 1 participant from the city of Kalamata, Greece, 1 participant from the city of Razlog, Bulgaria, 1participant from the city of Slavonski Brod, Croatia, 1 participant from the city of Bologna, Italy and 1 participant from the city of Marseilles, France  

Location / Dates: The event took place in Rezekne, Latvia from  06/05/201508/05/2015

Short description:  The aim of the event was to present the results of the activities of the project so far. To that aim, a conference was organised with the title “Citizen Involvement: My Opinion and Actions Matter!” where our findings as well as examples of Active Citizen’s involvement and initiatives at local and international levels. In parallel, the partners also visited local civil society organisations and authorities and discussed how we can empower and encourage Citizens to be more actively involved in civil society initiatives at local and European levels.

Event 3

Participation: The event involved 61 citizens, including 2 participants from the city of Kalamata, Greece, 5 participant from the city of Rezekne, Latvia, 5participants from the city of Slavonski Brod, Croatia, 5 participants from the city of Bologna, Italy and 5 participants from the city of Marseilles, France  

Location / Dates: The event took place in Razlog, Bulgaria, from  24/05/2015 to 29/05/2015

Short description:  The aim of the event was to prepare the participants to become multipliers of the values that the project promotes and to be ready to be actively involved in future activities. The participants learned about the possible ways for participating in the policy making process of the EU, the importance of the EU elections, and the importance of active participation in local level for the well-being of the EU communities.

Event 4
Participation: The event involved  203 citizens, including 1 participant from the city of Rezekne, Latvia, 1 participant from the city of Razlog, Bulgaria, 1participant from the city of Slavonski Brod, Croatia, 1 participant from the city of Bologna, Italy and 1 participant from the city of Marseilles, France  

Location / Dates: The event took place in Kalamata, Greece, from 18/03/2016 to 20/03/2016

Short Description:  The aim of the event was to present the activities that happened at local level in the partner countries, as well as to introduce the theme that was selected during the local debates, Active Citizenship and Volunteerism, and to introduce the network that was created during the project, namely the A.L.T.I.U.S. European Network for the Promotion of Volunteerism and Active Citizenship. During the conference that was organized, with the title “Active Participation as a means for Community development”, the notion of active citizenship and participation from Ancient Greece to today’s Europe was analysed, we looked for answers regarding the way that Active Citizenship and promotion of Volunteerism can be encouraged, and good practices and examples of people and groups that through their active participation strengthened their society were presented. During the 3rd day of the event, 3 workshops were organized, where the participants had the opportunity to better comprehend the meaning and importance of volunteerism, understand better Active Citizenship and learn how to use new technologies to promote Civil Society activities.

Event 5
Participation: The event involved 119 citizens, including  1 participant from the city of Rezekne, Latvia, 1 participant from the city of Razlog, Bulgaria, 1participant from the city of kalamata, Greece, 1 participant from the city of Bologna, Italy and 1 participant from the city of Marseilles, France  

Location / Dates: The event took place in Slavonski Brod, Croatia, from 08/04/2016 to 10/04/2016

Short description:  The aim of the event was to present the newly created ALTIUS network and to go deeper into the subject of Volunteerism and Active Citizenship at both local and European levels. The event organised by Europe House Slavonski Brod was dedicated to concept of active citizenship and promotion of volunteerism. During the event, the speakers presented the EU programs and financial instruments that promote active European citizenship, encourage cooperation between citizens and organizations from different countries, make the development of a sense of belonging to common European ideals easier and promote the process of European integration.

Event 6
Participation: The event involved 61 citizens, including  1 participant from the city of Rezekne, Latvia, 1 participant from the city of Razlog, Bulgaria, 1participant from the city of kalamata, Greece, 1 participant from the city of Slavonski Brod, Croatia and 1 participant from the city of Marseilles, France  

Location / Dates: The event took place in Bologna, Italy, from  16/06/2016 to 18/06/2016

Short description:  The aim of the event was for the partners to evaluate the project and its results, as well as to discuss follow-up activities and the future steps of the ALTIUS network. During the public event that was organised the project and the ALTIUS network were presented, as well as good practices and examples of Active Citizenship and initiatives at both local as well as international levels.
